We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to ban Melanie
Phillips from appearing on BBC Question Time
Melanie Phillips still harbours suspicions that Obama might be
a Muslim (God forbid!)
called Civil Partnerships for homosexuals 'toxic'
[http://www.melaniephillips.com/articles-new/?p=550 ], argued
that while 'individual Palestinians may deserve compassion,
their cause amounts to Holocaust denial as a national project'
advocates the teaching of creationism alongside evolution
[http://www.melaniephillips.com/articles/archives/000756.html ],
and compared environmentalists to Nazis
[http://www.melaniephillips.com/articles-new/?p=641 ]. She does
not even have the excuse of receiving nearly one million votes
at a European election, to justify her presence on the BBC's
flagship political show. Her appearances appear to be
dangerously proliferating and she should be banned before she
inflicts any more damage on the impressionable.

UPDATE: I have received an email rejecting my petition on the grounds that it is 'outside the remit or powers of the Prime Minister and Government'. Nothing surprising there, but I feel the point has been made.
